Halloween originated from the festival of Samhain (from the ancient Irish language samain) celebrated the ancient Celtic. Festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture, and is sometimes called the "Celtic New Year". Celtic people who embraced paganism hereditary use the opportunity festival for slaughter cattle and stockpile food in preparation for winter.
Nation ancient Gael believes that the date of 31 October, barring the dead and the living world into the open. The dead do harm to people living with the disease and damage crops. While celebrating the festival, people Gael lit bonfires to burn the bones of animals that they slaughtered. In the Jack-o'-lantern is usually placed a burning candle or a lamp to make it look more sinister in the dark.
